What to expect from the service
RISE offers focused emotional health and wellbeing support for children and young people who may benefit from short-term, therapeutic sessions. Support is usually offered on a one-to-one basis, though we can explore reasonable adjustments where this helps a young person feel safe and able to take part.
RISE may be suitable where a young person can engage with support around areas such as anxiety, low mood, confidence, emotional regulation, school-related worries or emotional wellbeing. The service can work alongside other professionals, but it does not replace specialist services such as CAMHS, medical care, education services or legal advice.
If RISE is not the right fit at this time, this does not mean the young person’s needs are not important. It simply means another type or level of support may be more appropriate. Where possible, we will be clear about this and help signpost to suitable support.
